Reverend Carson (CS) Washington is a dynamic and faithful preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, committed to proclaiming the Word with clarity, conviction, and compassion. The son of Rev. Carl L. Washington Jr. and Bernita K. Washington, he stands within a rich legacy of Gospel preachers and Christian educators who have devoted their lives to advancing the Kingdom of God.
Reverend Washington sensed God’s call on his life at the age of eight and has been a devoted student of the Holy Scriptures ever since. He was licensed to preach in 2010 and ordained in 2018 at New Mount Zion Baptist Church in Harlem, New York. His passion for both the life of the church and the life of the mind is reflected in his academic journey. While serving in the United States Navy, he earned an Associate of Arts in Modern Hebrew from the Defense Language Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. He later received a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Theology (ThD) in Theology and Ethics at Duke Divinity School.
Since 2018, Reverend Washington has faithfully served as Pastor at Memorial West United Presbyterian Church and in 2026 has become the Pastor of Siloam Hope FPC in Elizabeth NJ, where he is dedicated to equipping believers to grow in faith and live out the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Known for his biblical depth, pastoral heart, and engaging preaching style, Reverend Washington has a passion for discipleship and spiritual formation. His ministry centers on the Great Commission—to go into the world, make disciples, baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach believers to follow the way of Jesus Christ.
Above all, Reverend Washington seeks to glorify God by faithfully preaching the Gospel, strengthening the church, and pointing people to the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Despite his many responsibilities in ministry and scholarship, he remains deeply grounded in his personal life and committed to being present for his family and children.
